Shri Amol Ji Chettiar

A Fashion enthusiast who enjoys developing research oriented contents for students and enhance their inquisitiveness. He is best known to bring together a team comprised of the best teachers and industry experts to guide the young bunch of fashion students every year. His approach to fashion education is simple, relevant to times and holistic as well. At present he is also associated with Deccan Institute of Design, Hyderabad as Fashion Education consultant.

His fashion consultancy includes of Pattern drafting / Sewing / Academic consultant. His expression of design comes from my strong tailoring back ground, his mentors Sheroo Cooper and James Ferreira have instilled in me a passion to be a technician first and then a designer. Entering the academic world of fashion was accidental to him and I now enjoy being a part of various colleges as a teacher. Teaching helps me to explore various new possibilities and now I am on the path of being a revivalist of techniques of couture which are in danger of being lost and a new love for Indian textiles and sustainable fashion.

He has been associated with several fashion institutes in the past to share all his learning. He was a Senior Progam Director with Whistling Woods Neeta & Lulla School of Fashion.
