Oh God!!! Yet another sem, yet another span of mental torture –– EXAMS!!!
Remember, since the school days, how you had to skip a contented festival like holi or a boisterous cricket blockbuster like worldcup? Still some of us had to go through the same trauma every year because of the yearly college entrance exams and semester exams.
Not anymore, as these are some of the shortcuts by which you can de-stress yourself from the exam load that you carry in your head and skip some time-off to enjoy these little bundle of joys for the being time:
1. Listening to Music
This is a great stress-buster. While preparing yourself for the forthcoming exams, you can yourself have a break in-between and listen to some soothing fav’s to calm your mind.
Caution: Not with those dhichik dhichik ones for sure, they’d rather distract your mind than concentrating it on studies.
2. Taking Enough Sleep
At times, we get into the study zone way too much and forget to sleep properly.
Trust me, 4-5 hours of sleep during exam time will harm you as much as a bottle of whiskey!!!
So, DO NOT compromise on your sleep routine and give your body at least 7-8 hours sleep like usual.
Caution: Enough sleep doesn’t means to sleep like a kumbhkaran all day long and study the whole night. It means sleeping at night and studying early morning. Trust me, this trick will benefit you in every possible way!!!
3. Play with Bubble Wraps or your Pets (if you have any)
This really works!!!
Popping bubble wraps is one of the best ways to release stress. It makes us to distract from any mental paranoia that we are going through.
And about the pets thing, there are many universities in abroad where there are ‘pet room’ for students that helps them relieve all the exam stress. They can play with the pets for some time which helps making the students happy and back to their studies with all the more happiness.
So, don’t stop and make it pop! 😉
4. Eating Dark Chocolates
This could be one amazing solution while dealing with exam stress.
As dark chocolates have 50-70% cocoa content, it fights the stress hormone cortisol and gives relaxation to mind and body.
Caution: That doesn’t mean you’ll eat dark chocolates all the time. :p
5. Planning your Schedule
Too much to study plus too little time to study is equals to STRESS!!!
That is why it is important to make a schedule and manage the study sessions accordingly. Because there is a famous saying that too much of anything can be harmful. That is why it is important to have 10 minute breaks in every hour.
